Warning..this is a very long post...mostly because how could I NOT share all the photos from visiting the Centre Pompidou. Part one covers the special Franz West exhibition, while this post will cover...all the rest. And that's no small feat considering it has over 100 000 works dating from 1905 to the present day in it's permanent collection. The building that you see now was designed in 1977 by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers.
Now for the flood, of all of my favorite artworks. Can you believe this was only TWO FLOORS...granted to very large floors, but still.
My first section covers all of the classics such as....
Would I even be in Paris if there weren't artworks by Pablo Picasso?
Ismael De La Serna
My second section covers the following artists:
Jean Pierre Raynaud
Guy De Cointet
After all of this art, obviously, I was in need of a glass of wine at the restaurant on the roof. I was able to be there to see the sunset behind the Eiffel Tower, which was magical.
Which was your favorite artwork?
